Let's Explore Point Pleasant

Point Pleasant is a borough in Ocean County.  Although it’s outside of Monmouth County, it’s a very popular spot for many of  “our locals” so I wanted to include it in my series of beach towns.  Point Pleasant A Jersey Shore community situated on the Barnegat Peninsula, a long, narrow barrier peninsula that divides the Barnegat Bay from the Atlantic Ocean at the Manasquan Inlet, and the borough derives its name from this location. Point Pleasant Is 10th Coolest Small Town In America, Survey Says! “Visitors are often surprised that Point Pleasant’s downtown is also one of the coolest antiques districts, with unique stores, quiet coffee shops, friendly locals, and upscale dining for when you’ve finally had your fill of boardwalk fare. Nab hotel bargains by visiting in spring or fall, or splurge a little on a perfect summer lodging like the White Sands, with beach access, an outdoor pool, and an on-site restaurant.”

Point Pleasant is distinct from Point Pleasant Beach, which is a separate community.
