A  TRULY beautiful seaside community Avon by the Sea is nestled between Sylvan Lake and the Shark River Inlet.  Avon by the Sea has a spectacular beach, and a wonderful boardwalk, and a pavilion for dining.

Avon has been called the best-kept secret of the Jersey Shore for years and years.

There are ONLY about 2000 year-round residents. However, the beaches draw countless visitors each summer,  A popular spot is  The Columns restaurant, which is open ONLY in the summer season and offers dining and dancing, and is kind of a neighborhood bar. Avon is a wonderful little beach town.   Only being about 6 blocks square, there is SO much to do right in town or very nearby. There are truly stunning beaches.  A beautiful boardwalk with VERY distinctive three-globe lamps.  There are fantastic restaurants and unique little retail shops,

This fabulous community has an active recreation department and offers year-round activities for children and seniors. Soccer, basketball, swimming, and tennis programs are offered. Avon by the Sea is home to the infamous “Pond”, an outdoor ice skating rink started by local residents. It is here where the family can free skate and hockey games are also played. Season skating badges are $45.00 for the season.

Avon by the Sea has a town pool available with badges to town residents. Pool badges are available for purchase at the Avon Borough Pool and from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM ONLY.

Whether you are looking for a small ocean-front studio, a townhouse, or a spectacular luxurious single-family home, this town offers it all.  (but it’s not cheap)

Avon Beach is open year-round. Lifeguards are on-site weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend and full-time on mid-June through Labor Day.
