Bradley Beach is a fabulous little seaside community. Located between Avon by the Sea and Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach is a gorgeous town where you can spend hours and even days. The boardwalk here is small, but there is plenty to do in the local area. Bradley Beach has a total area of 0.63 square miles including 0.61 square miles of land and 0.02 square miles of water.
I mentioned the boardwalk in Bradley Beach is small, but it does extend about a mile from end to end. Bradley DOES allow you to bike on the boards, as long as it’s in the morning before 10:00 am! You’ll often see people sitting and relaxing or reading at the Fifth Avenue Gazebo. Steal some quiet time and enjoy the ocean breeze. It’s also the perfect spot to catch a sunrise or sunset.
Bradley Beach has a ton of events on the boardwalk during the summer. One of the most popular by far is the Lobster Fest. Keep an eye out for that one!
Today, there is a year-round population of 4,400 that increases to approximately 30,000 during the summer months. So this is the perfect time to talk about parking. Especially for the beach. Parking Pay Stations are located on the east side of Ocean Avenue and the East End of Bradley Blvd. Payment is required from 8 am to 7 pm at $1.50 per hour. Cash, Credit, and Debit Cards are accepted as payment. Parking is free on the west side of Ocean Avenue.
The Bradley Beach School District serves public school students in pre-kindergarten through 8th grade at Bradley Beach Elementary School. For public school students in 9th through 12th, the school district sends to Asbury Park Public Schools and Neptune Township Schools.
If you are looking to enjoy the shore and want to escape for a few days. Avon offers some truly amazing bed and breakfasts. Enjoy the summer breeze from the window and stroll the boards as often as you’d like. Check out a few of these local favorite places to stay!
Bicycles are not allowed on any of the sidewalks on Main Street.
There is no riding bicycles, skates, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, motorcycles, or mopeds on the promenade or any of the public land located east of Ocean Avenue.
Must obtain a beach badge before entering beach and while on the beach.
Badges are required from 9am-4pm on weekdays and 9am-5pm on weekends and holidays.
