Hiking is fun all year but I’m a big fan of spring hikes! It’s nearly the time to lace up your hiking boots for the season and we’ve got plenty of fantastic trails here in New Jersey. Some of my favorite Garden Stake hikes are the easiest and this trail is easy enough for beginners! It’s still long enough to get some exercise while enjoying spectacular scenery. Check it out!

If you’re interested in the Green Trail, check out this fantastic walk-through by www.njhiking.com:

For an even easier hike, or to add to your trip, try the 1.5-mile Red Trail, which will bring you past the lake, or the 2.5-mile Blue Trail which passes by Perring Pond.  What is your favorite short hike in New Jersey?
